  • Welcome!

I know how important a good photograph is. It reminds a husband of fifty years that his wife’s smile is as beautiful now as it was the day they took their vows. It reminds a mother of how small her high-school linebacker’s hand felt in her own before his first day of kindergarten. It captures and defines those moments that we want to re-live.

That’s why I’m a photographer. My passion lies in preserving moments, and I know that a good picture is more than just the angle of the sun, the length of exposure, or capturing everyone with their eyes open. As a photographer I get to take the quickly changing world, slow it down, and rescue those otherwise fleeting moments.

Julia

Meet my niece Julie.  This is her last year in high school.  So I took some pictures of her.  Shooting family is always fun…and interesting.  It was a nice time at the Pasadena city hall.  What a beautiful campus.  There were so many places to shoot there, but I could only pick a few.  Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Caitlin & Jake

In September, I second-shot for Eric Rust, a great local photographer.  We photographed at the Thornewood Castle in the Tacoma area.  What a gem of a place.  I felt like I was in Downton Abbey.  And Caitlin and Jake were a really fun couple to shoot.  As a second shooter I had a different set of goals for shooting than shooting alone.  It was fun, I was very relaxed and that allowed me to express my creativity in ways I often can’t as being the only photographer.

Aryn & Matt

Aryn and Matt are a fun couple.  They love each other and they love the Lord.  They are a beautiful couple and it was quite a pleasure to photograph them.  Aryn met Matt at a church picnic on the 4th of July.  And let’s just say the fireworks flew.  We went to Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea.  We found an unkempt area on the park’s edge where there were many interesting and pretty trees.  Aryn and Matt are outdoorsy people:  Matt, being from Washington and Aryn being from Colorado.  They really wanted to be photographed in a natural landscape.  In the LA area, that’s not super easy to find.  We found the perfect place though.  Beautiful trees, grass, bushes.  Rabbits and squirrels were running all over the place.  It was the perfect environment for two nature-loving people living in Southern California.  They get married in August.  Should be an exciting wedding.  Enjoy my favorite shots from the session below.
